Labor Room & Maternity Care

At Reliance Hospital, we believe that maternity care is based on respect for individual and cultural choices in childbirth, reinforced by the availability of world-class care and facilities. Our goal to provide optimal comfort and safety for both mother and child during the birthing process. Reliance Hospital offers labour and delivery rooms equipped with flexible delivery beds and facilities for monitoring the condition of mother and baby. The unit also has special monitoring equipment for mothers with medical complications such as pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure). This is the only hospital of vicinity that has connected ICU and NICU to deal with any complication.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Reliance Hospital has introduced state of the art ICU, which is classified into medical intensive care unit (MICU) supervised by medical intensivist and surgical intensive care unit supervised by an anesthetist. The Intensive Care Unit provides interdisciplinary care for patients with a variety of serious conditions in a technologically advanced environment. ICU is a closed unit and patients are provided with aa required technological support including ventilators.

24/7 Ambulance

Reliance Hospital provides ambulance transportation to sick or injured people and in some instances will also provide out of hospital medical care to the patient. We also provide services to bereaved family for transportation to and from hospital, home, and mortuary. Our 24/7 ambulance service is facilitated by active team of our doctors and nurses equipped with oxygen, emergency resuscitation & medications.

Pain Free Delivery

Reliance Hospital’s professional staff guides in detail about all the pros and cons of painless delivery. Painless delivery refers to the use of an epidural injection which is given by an anesthetist for pain relief during labour. It is injected in the lower back, and a plastic tube is placed through which drugs are released.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Reliance Hospital has its own state of the art neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which is fully equipped to treat the sickest and smallest infants, and provides care to premature babies and other critically ill infants. Babies born early (less than 37 completed weeks) is the most common reason for a NICU admission. Premature babies aren’t quite physically and physiologically developed and are unable to transition to the outside environment. They can’t control their body temperature and often have excessive weight loss and unstable vital signs which all affect long-term neurological outcome.
We established our NICU with state-of-the-art equipment, under supervision of a professional team.

ECHO/ECG

Reliance Hospital is well equipped in its segment of cardiology. It has facilities of ECG as well as ECHO. Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Echocardiogram (ECHO) are not the same. ECG is a test used to check your heart's rhythm and electrical activity whereas ECHO is a type of ultrasound scan, which means a small probe is used to send out high-frequency sound waves that create echoes when they bounce off. We have state of the art machines and fully trained staff for these tests, which are usually carried out at Reliance Hospital by a cardiologist or a trained staff.

Outpatient Department (OPD):

Inpatient Departments (IPD):

At Reliance Hospital, patients enter ‘inpatient care’ mainly either through referral from a consultant doctor, or through emergency departments. The patient formally becomes an "inpatient" at the writing of an admission note. We ensure through our well-established patient care system that patients are only admitted when they are extremely ill or have severe physical trauma. Our consultants admit a patient and then make rounds and manage the patient's care during their hospital stay, whereas our medical officers, nurses and paramedical staff ensures round the clock inpatient care.

Emergency Patient Department (EPD):

Emergency Patient Department (EPD) of Reliance Hospital operates 24 hours a day. We also provide best services to all those emergency patients who need acute care and are present without prior appointments. Emergency patients are provided with all the initial treatments, some of which are life threatening and requires immediate actions. We trained our EPD staff to work quickly and effectively even with minimal information. We consider time as an essential factor in emergency treatment, that we established our emergency diagnostic equipment to avoid waiting for equipment installed elsewhere in the hospital. Laboratory services are also as its own "STAT Lab" for basic labs (blood counts etc).

Operation Theater (OT):

Operation Theatre at Reliance Hospital is spacious, clean, well lit with surgical lights and have viewing screens and monitors. Rooms are supplied with wall suction, oxygen and other anaesthetic gases. Key equipment including operating tables and anaesthesia cart are available in operation theatre. Operation theatres are separated from other department and only authorized personnel have access. All lifesaving machines like aanaesthesia, patient monitors, lighting, ventilators, C-Arm (image intensifier), Portable X-rays, Ultrasound and Doppler, Laparoscopic equipment, microscopes all remain uninterrupted during load shedding hours. There is three layered electricity backup power supply.
